Akhirati: Muslim Companion is a mobile app developed by Genaxa ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains how we handle your information. In short: Akhirati contains no advertising, requires no account or login, and keeps your worship records and personal entries on your device.

Information We Collect

Akhirati requires no account, login or registration. Genaxa does not collect your name, email address, phone number, prayer records, remembrance text, financial entries or precise coordinates. Platform-specific analytics and services are described below; the iPhone and iPad release contains no Firebase SDK and transmits no usage analytics to Genaxa.

Location

With your permission, Akhirati uses your device's precise location to calculate prayer times and Qibla direction on your device. Genaxa never receives or stores those coordinates. Automatic mode relies on the operating system's location services: Android may use Google Play services for the location fix and readable neighborhood label; iPhone and iPad may use Apple Location Services and reverse geocoding. Those platform providers process data under their own privacy policies.

You may deny permission and choose a city manually from the bundled list. Manual-city prayer calculations and Qibla origin then work offline. On Android only, Firebase may infer approximate location from the IP address of an analytics or crash request; it never receives the precise prayer-location coordinates from Akhirati.

Locally Stored Data

Settings, prayer and fasting records, athkar progress, tasbih counts, reminder text and zakat entries stay in the app's local storage. Android uses SharedPreferences and a Room database; iPhone and iPad use UserDefaults and the app-group container shared with the widget. Android cloud backup is disabled. Apple may include eligible app data in a device backup according to the user's Apple and iCloud settings. Akhirati does not upload this content to Genaxa.

Advertising

Akhirati contains no advertising. We do not use AdMob or any ad network, and the app requests no advertising identifier (AD_ID) permission.

Optional Personalization (In-App Purchase)

Every worship feature is free. The optional one-time Akhirati Personalization purchase unlocks additional interface artwork, Qibla designs and the adhan sound schedule. It is not a subscription. Purchases are processed by Google Play on Android and Apple StoreKit on iPhone and iPad. Genaxa never receives or stores your payment-card details. See the Google Payments Privacy Notice and Apple Privacy Policy.

Notifications

Akhirati schedules local notifications and alarms on your device to alert you at prayer times and for reminders you enable. Their content and schedule are generated on the device; Genaxa does not receive notification content.

Nearby Group-Prayer Invitation

نداء الجماعة is an optional invitation that lets you call the people around you to pray together — for example a small group at work forming a jama'ah. Nothing is sent until you start a call, it needs no internet connection, and it never reaches a Genaxa server.

  • What is shared: the short place or group label you type and which prayer is being called. On iPhone and iPad a random one-time invitation number and a random app alias (for example Akhirati-1a2b3c4d) are added so that your device name is never exposed. Your contacts, worship records, reminder text and precise coordinates are never included.
  • Who can receive it: nearby devices running Akhirati. The invitation travels inside the advertised connection name, which any nearby device listening on the same channel can read, so treat the label you type as visible to people around you — choose a place or group name rather than personal information. The label is limited to 24 characters and 5 words.
  • Which technology: iPhone and iPad use Apple Multipeer Connectivity over the local network, which Apple operates under its own privacy policy. Android uses Google Nearby Connections, part of Google Play services, which discovers over Bluetooth LE and may upgrade to Wi-Fi. Google's own documentation states that this SDK collects connection performance data — discovery and connection latency, reliability and throughput — together with device model, country, build version and the application package name, plus usage analytics, and that this collection can be controlled in device settings. That data goes to Google under Google's privacy policy and never to Genaxa; Google's documentation does not list the invitation contents among what it gathers.
  • For how long: each call is advertised for at most 60 seconds, after which nothing further is transmitted. There is no Genaxa server and no account, so Genaxa never receives, stores or retains the invitation. On your own device Akhirati keeps the label you typed so you need not retype it, a small counter that enforces the daily limit of three calls per prayer, and a short list of recently seen invitation numbers so the same call is not shown twice. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling removes them.

Accessibility Service

Android only: Akhirati includes an optional, parent-activated Kids Mode. When a parent turns it on, an Android Accessibility Service is used only while the prayer lock is active, to keep a full-screen prayer reminder in view until the child confirms they have prayed (a parent PIN can dismiss it at any time). This service:

  • reads only which app is currently in the foreground (the package name) — it can never read screen contents, what you type, or any personal data;
  • transmits nothing; no data leaves the device;
  • is fully opt-in, enabled manually by a parent in system Settings behind a PIN, with clear in-app disclosure beforehand;
  • always allows the phone dialer so emergency calls are never blocked, and auto-releases after 45 minutes as a safety cap.

Children's Privacy

Akhirati is a general-audience worship app and is not directed at children under 13 for the purpose of data collection. Android's optional Kids Mode is a tool for parents and transmits no data; it is not included in the iPhone or iPad release. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Analytics & Crash Reporting

Android: Firebase Analytics records limited app-interaction events such as feature opens and settings selections, and Firebase Crashlytics receives crash and device diagnostics. Akhirati never places prayer records, coordinates, remembrance text, zakat entries or other worship content in these events. See Firebase Privacy.

iPhone and iPad: the 1.0 release integrates no Firebase, analytics or remote crash-reporting SDK. Small feature-use counters are stored only on the device and are not transmitted. Apple may provide Genaxa with aggregated App Store and diagnostic information under Apple's own privacy terms.

Data Deletion

You can remove Akhirati's current on-device data by clearing the app's storage on Android or uninstalling the app. Copies included in an operating-system backup are controlled through that platform's backup settings. For questions or an Android Firebase diagnostic-data request, contact us at the email below.

Third-Party Services

Android:

  • Google Play services — location and neighborhood labels in automatic mode;
  • Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics — limited usage analytics and crash diagnostics;
  • Google Nearby Connections — the optional nearby group-prayer invitation;
  • Google Play Billing — the optional personalization purchase.

iPhone and iPad:

  • Apple Location Services and reverse geocoding — automatic location and its readable label;
  • Apple Multipeer Connectivity — the optional nearby group-prayer invitation;
  • Apple StoreKit — the optional personalization purchase.

Automatic online weather and metal-price providers are disabled in Akhirati 1.0; that release sends no requests to Open-Meteo or Gold API. Earlier Android test builds could request spot prices directly from Gold API, whose privacy policy says it may retain request IP addresses and timestamps and infer approximate location. Neither platform includes an advertising SDK.

Akhirati does not use any advertising SDK.

Changes to This Policy
